Emily

I am always inspired by nature, but I am always kind of making it up and abstracting it in my paintings and textiles. I wanted Emily to be a fresh and simple floral. It makes me think more of herbs than florals. I wanted it to have a colored background, so I used pastels to create the textured background color, which I think gives it depth and a little age. I named this for one of my oldest childhood friends.
